TwinBridge Language Partners (TBLP) including CP/CJKP/JP/KP 6.5 support Microsoft Windows Vista 32-bit series. TBLP 6.5 series are NOT for Vista 64 series.

Am I using 32-bit or 64-bit Windows Vista OS (Operating System)?

TBLP 6.5 works the same on Vista (32) as on XP with document editors such as MS Office. Due to extra security in Vista, a setting change is necessary for TBLP 6.5 to fully function in Internet Explorer browser. The security is called Protected Mode which allows a standard user without administrator privilege to do software installation. Since users of TBLP 6.5 are supposed to have administrator privilege, Protected Mode can be turned off as follows.

  1. With Protected Mode on, activate a TwinBridge input method with hot keys <Control> + <Shift> + 1, 2, 3 or 4 will cause a message to show up. Check the arrow pointed box then click OK

  2. Click on Tools then on Internet Options on the Tools pull-down menu

  3. Click Security tab to enter Security page. Uncheck Enable Protected Mode box then click OK

  4. Click OK in the next two message windows

  5. Click on the Message Bar, then on “Don’t show this message again.” option in the menu

  6. Close then re-open Internet Explorer. TBLP 6.5 input methods should fully function
